During the period of COVID-19 lockdown, many AG and other churches were able to use smartphones and social media to “meet” and stay connected. Churches resumed in-person services in May, and despite restrictions some evangelistic campaigns and conferences took place and church-planting efforts continued. One WAAST alumnus started three churches recently. Another constructed and opened a Christian school, church, and Bible institute in 2020. Radio broadcasts continue on the AG station “The Voice of Hope” and other stations. The AG- Liberia counts more than 700 churches but only some 300 credentialed pastors. Trained Pentecostal leaders are critical to make believers true disciples, for while the majority of Liberians identify as Christians, most are still entrenched in animism. Seven Bible schools offer ministerial training, from certificate programs to the bachelor of theology. Eight of Liberia’s 30+ people groups follow Islam, and some Muslim and animist communities refuse to allow the establishment of any church among them. Many AGL churches reach out through various social works, especially Christian schools.

• for revival meetings being held this coming week, that many will be saved, delivered, and renewed;
• that God would call more into His harvest field, particularly to go to the 10 unreached and less-reached ethnic groups;
• for the Bible schools, for provision for students, and for the development of theological training, so that more will be equipped to train others;
• for miracles of favor and open doors into communities that have resisted the church and the gospel.
